    The Noughties

Same again peeps, one year = one studio album.

00 Iron Maiden - Brave New World
01 Clearlake - Lido (a band heavily influenced by Cardiacs but only on this debut sadly)
02 Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
03 Stars in Battledress - Secrets and Signals (Possibly the best album of the 21st century)
04 Morrissey - You Are the Quarry
05 Kate Bush - Aerial (I mean, come on, could it possibly be anything else?)
06 Morrissey - Ringleader of the Tormentors

07 William D Drake - Briny Hooves (and/or Yew's Paw also released 07 & I got them at the same time, so I almost treat them as a double album)

08 North Sea Radio Orchestra - Birds

09 Karda Estra - Weird Tales (Totally love this stuff man, what an atmosphere! And what is that - oboe, bassoon, clarinet? )

The 00s...I only have three but thats only due to the combination of (1) a way over-saturated music industry coupled with (2) my audio apathy spawned by cynical old age.

'formidably different' -- yeah, well choose ONE. Sheesh. Are you that guy who grabs a handful when the sign reads "Please Take One"?

    [/QUOTE]

Bloody hell - KE in top picks shock! Cheers, Mr G - very much appreciated. Anyhow, as you asked, I will try and answer (these are the times the wind instruments are first introduced - they obviously intertwine from then on):
    0:26 - clarinet (Amy)
    0:43 - oboe (Caron)
    1:01 - flute (Zoe)
    1:08 - cor anglais (Caron)
1: 33 - tenor (Zoe) and alto (Amy) saxophones

I think that's roughly right. I have video footage recording this song but it's lost in the crypt somewhere. I ought to dig it out and make a pop video one day
    Cheers,
    Richard
