    Pete Haycock, R.I.P.

Just read the news that Pete Haycock, former guitarrist for the Climax Blues Band, died October 30th in England. In later year, he was very active with his own band and had an up to date Facebook page. He was 62.

Damn! Climax Blues Band, just great. I really love his instrumental Guitar and Son on Miles Copeland's
No Speak series back in the 90s.

Same here. I knew about the Climax Blues Band but didn't know any of the names or faces. The Randy California hosted "night of the guitar" put the name and the face and the sound together for me.

Looking forward to my day in court.

Very sad. I was a big CBB fan back in the day, and just rediscovered them through the recent remasters issued by Esoteric, which are fantastic. I wore the grooves out of my original copy of FM Live. I was lucky enough to have a chance to see the band when they were hot, playing an outdoor show with Sly & The Family Stone, at the Englishtown racetrack in New Jersey. Haycock was IMO a very under-appreciated guitarist.

Rest in peace, Pete, from a long-time fan.

For Peter. Heard this song for the first time on my local classic rock radio station a month or so ago.
