No need to choose, both a great and part of the same trilogy anyway!

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
KA
I'd probably choose KA, but only because I've lived with it longer. Also, I kinda like Hhaï better as a stand alone piece, as it was played in the 70's.
Both for me. But if anyone's gonna cry foul then I'll take ER.
If it wasn't for the crap synth solo in part 3 I'd say KA. I do love Hhai though and it's a great version in ER. Very tough choice.
Matt.
Hey I dig that solo! It's like a porn solo.
I don't like them
But..
I do dig Félicité Thosz !
Much much better for my taste -
The main contrast is that they actually were able to come up with something fresh and vital unlike these 2 frankensteins
btw anyone here dig Flöë Ëssi / Ëktah ep - I adore Ëktah !
Somehow I can't believe you really don't like KA and ER, Udi! But I agree with you on Floe Essi / Ektah. I wish they'd do a regular diverse 10-song album of music like that without trying to connect everything. As much as I like E-R, the bridges between a few of the sections still seem forced to me.
I really like all of their three studio releases, but K.A remains my fave from those. Probably because it was such a revelation to hear this seminal band pull all the stops in a studio setting again, demonstrating how they can place 99% of most "progressive" acts totally in shade.

Ëktah !
Horrible youtube sound but this piece has so much heart and soul
I like K.A. as much as anything they've ever done (except for the original Kohntarkhosz, which remains my all-time favorite.)

Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]
"Death to false 'support the scene' prog!"
please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.
Both, perhaps with a slight leaning towards K.A. due to Om Zanka/Gamma Anteria.

I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.
K.A. because of the first section alone! But like Frank said years ago and after a heated exchange(what? The Czar had a heated exchange?) I agree with his statement of the drums (esp the bass drum) needing "low end balls"
...and how could I pass up posting on a Magma thread.
I like KA much better because it just sounds like Magma, I was very disappointed with both Ëmëhntëhtt-Ré and Félicité Thösz which are a step in the wrong direction IMO.
Listening to this ...
That is a fascinating document.
I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.
It was removed by Seventh due to copy-write issues
This is really disappointing
I was listening to this and started to realize I actually do like KA ...
and did not have the chance to listen all the way through to asses just how much of this made it to the new millennium version
