Was listening to 'Trouble with Machines' the other day. What a fantastic album.
I understand they are finishing up a tour, but, I hope they are planning a third release AND play in the ATL area at some point.

Yeah I think the band are great and progressing and both their records are in regular rotation in my van.
The production on "Trouble With Machines" is fantastic. It isn't brick wall limited and has a nice dynamic range. I hope their next release will sound just as amazing.

Really cool album. I am excited to see what they do next!
Anyone who's seen them knows what a great band they are live, and what a great performer Ms. Hunt is!
I love both their albums and they're certainly one of my favorite bands (old or new), but live is where they really shine.

One of my favorites bands at the current time and space!
They told me that they still need a few more songs before they have an albums worth. I for one would like to see that KC set get some sort of release.
Maybe Jonathan will pipe up with the official word?

Rich Mouser (Spock's Beard, Neal Morse, Transatlantic) mixed the 2nd release.
If they came to Northern California, that would make it much easier for me to see them.
Amazing live act, and their studio work isn't too shabby. I did hear a lot of growth from album one to album two, I think they are only going to get better. And I echo Geezer's comments about Ms. Hunt. She's an awesome talent, and quite a fun performer. Instrumentally, I can't think of a weak link, all are tremendous players. I get the feeling they could play almost any style and do it well. They sure pulled off King Crimson material well on the just completed tour.
They played a few new songs at the Arlington, MA show that were killer. Hopefully the new album won't be too far away.

I only have their first release and 'though it's definitely not my "usual thing" at all, I like it quite a bit.

For any interested, I bought The Rob Clearfield Quintet cd in Chicago last week and was just gobsmacked by Rob's jazz compositional skills and the chops of the players, including D97 bandmate Patrick Mulcahy on both electric & acoustic bass.
Kay, who loves (non-smooth) jazz like I love prog, and who's seen D97 3 times, was very impressed as well.
Just killer, Rob!
Also bought Jim T's Treehouse album, and he shines on acoustic guitar just like he does on electric. Another superb album. I already own all 4 of Leslie's solo albums.
With Leslie's solo jazzy pop persona and Jonathan's quickly rising international status in the world of drumming, it's obvious that these 5 young people are very special indeed, and fortunately are pursuing all their musical muses.
I'm way too old to be called a fanboy, but you can call me fangeezer.

I'm with you, I like it too and it's not my usual thing either. But I like the second album a whole lot better. It is much more challenging and interesting to my ears. I recommend it if you like the first one, but wanted to hear the band stretch out a bit more. Interested to see where they go with the new one.
