Obviously auto buy in its most expanded form so am also intrigued to know what the extras will be ?
^ Probably a long-ass, boring as shite making-of documentary, for one. But still, I gotta have it too!
I'm having a mystical vision - there's an airship of some kind on the album cover...
Am I right?
For those who, like me, can't access FaceBook at work:

I THINK that's the zeppelin in there...
They recorded eight(!) covers, so I would think those will comprise the bonus disc.
Auto-Pre-Order.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
I like the cover !
hope Trewavas will get more exposure in vocal department. Yeah, looking forward for this one.
Insta-auto-gimme-that-order. Seeing them (for the second time) in Montreal in February too!
I like Neal wearing shades in the publicity photo. Sometimes when he doesn't, he appears creepily.... earnest in photos. One photo of him I recall is on the back cover of his Testimony 2 book (or whatever it's called) and he appears to be looking into your soul with what appear to be photoshopped husky (yes, the dog) eyes. Neal is much easier to take when he's goofy prog nut, as in...
So do I! How else will I know if Neal still has that "Enchant" poster hanging in his studio? I've come to know Neal's house over the last ten or more years with all these intimate documentaries. They don't prove to be repeat views (as opposed to, say, the Genesis box interviews), but they're quite enjoyable at least once.

I liked the last set of covers by these guys, so I'm game for some more. I wasn't blown away by The Whirlwind, though I like it. But I'm really looking forward to this new album.
Whirlwind was awful and they need a better drummer. Jaime Salazar or Nick. Or Zoltan Csörsz!!!!
Careful...Don't look down the wrong end.

I'm guessing the lyrics are a vaguely spiritual metaphor about how when the "kaleidoscope" comes together you will find unity and peace and God and stuff.
Don't get me wrong, it's still an auto-buy.
When does the pre-sale go up on Amazon? Can't believe I'll only have a week or so to digest it before the live show in NYC on 2/9.

A gentleman is defined as someone who knows how to play the accordion, and doesn't.
I wasn't all that impressed by The Whirlwind, nor have I been all that excited by much the individual members of the band have done since about 2000.
But still, an auto-buy based on the strength of the first two albums.
Ok, dumb game, but it's Friday. Let's guess the track lengths (I'm assuming they haven't been published somewhere already) and song styles:
1. INTO THE BLUE 13 min (semi-epic opener with lots of notes)
2. SHINE 8 min (uptempo rocker)
3. BLACK AS THE SKY 11 min (melancholy psych jam)
4. BEYOND THE SUN 6 min (obligatory ballad)
5. KALEIDOSCOPE 27 min (obligatory f'n epic)
I'm predicting a short CD, "only" 65 min or so.
I'll play:
1. INTO THE BLUE 30 min (because it must be 30 minutes, right?)
2. SHINE 7 min (Story about a progger's bald spot)
3. BLACK AS THE SKY 14 min (Stolt's story about the current state of the world)
4. BEYOND THE SUN 6 min (agreed - obligatory ballad)
5. KALEIDOSCOPE 32:59 min (Closing epic track that ends 1 second before the 80 minute CD limit)
WANTED: Sig-worthy quote.
LOL, Cozy, love it, but you're 10 min over.
