    NYC (and vicinity) is a busy town;
Would like to catch The Allman's for the last time at The Beacon in the next week as they plan to stop touring after this year, can't see that actually happening, but who knows.
March 23 -Jefferson Starship (they're playing Red Octopus & Dragonfly in entirety) @ BB King's
    March 25 - The Winery Dogs @ BB King's
March 28 - Dream Theatre, NYC : Hammerstein Ballroom
    April 4 - Yes : Atlantic City
April 5 - Jon Anderson : Times Square, BB King's
April 7 (or 8, not sure which night I'm going) - Kazumi Watanabe : NYC, Iridium (which will be home to a slew of great shows)
    May 30 (or 31, "" "") - Trio: Scott Henderson, Jeff Berlin, Dennis Chambers : NYC, Iridium (" ")
    July 1 - Boston w/Cheap trick - Jones Beach
    July 11-13 - Phish : Randall's Island
    July 16 (or 17 " ") - Virgil Donati @ Iridium
    Sept. 14 & 15 - Terry Bozzio @ Iridium
Sept. King Crimson (hopefully multiple nights in NYC and multiple other nights in multiple other cities.)
October 11 -(hopefully, depending on transportation)-Echolyn; NJ
"Henry Cow always wanted to push itself, so sometimes we would write music that we couldn't actually play – I found that very encouraging." - Lindsay Cooper, 1998
"I have nothing to do with Endless River. Phew! This is not rocket science people, get a grip." - Roger Waters, 2014
"I'm a collector. And I've always just seemed to collect personalities." - David Bowie, 1973

Give me any other NY Philharmonic recommendations you can - I have some comp tickets because we went to see Sweeney Todd recently, and because they were taping for TV my excellent, f-ing expensive tickets turned out to be obstructed view. I was pissed.

Well, it's really about what music you're interested in - unless there is a soloist you particularly like. Check the schedule at nyphil.org.

Interesting, I see nothing of this on pollstar. Must search more. He must be coming to a venue closer to DC.

From a Keneallist earlier this week:
Having done two "research mission" performances in San Diego and Los Angeles last month, the trio of Keneally-Bendian-Lunn will now apply the lessons learnt to a slate of performances in May 2014. A scant few weeks from now. We'll begin in Nashville (5/15), then move on to St. Louis, Chicago, Greenwood, Columbus, Baltimore, NYC, Long Island, Philly, Dunellen, Cambridge, Charleston, and wind up at a festival in Scottsville, KY (5/31).
Stoked about him coming back to WV!

Agreed that would be a killer double bill. I saw Stolen Babies open for Lacuna Coil and The Gathering a few years ago. They were great.

Yes-Oakdale, Wallingford CT July 8 or such- 35th or so time seeing this band, second time in this iteration (first row last Summer at Mt. park in Holyoke MA)
Bryan Ferry-Montreal, late September (and I really should be back in school...)
Steve Hackett-Lynn MA late Nov.- saw the tour last Oct. in Montreal, psyched for my first row orchestra tix!

This is what I live for.
