^ That Morse Code gig should be great, Greg! I looked to see if it was part of a festival, but it doesn't appear to be.

It seems there are two Supertramp tributes: one from Quebec (Crime) and one from Ontario called "Dreamer" that will play in Halifax on September 23. I've never seen either tribute band so I can't compare but I'll check them out next month, Roger Hodgson was my last concert of 2019 when he played the same Casino venue here in Halifax.

I'm trying to decide if I want to go to Nostalgia Festival, a 5-day festival of tribute bands featuring tributes to the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Guns & Roses, Sade, George Michael, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bob Marley, Tina Turner, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins & Genesis, Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath, Metallica, Kiss, and AC-DC. Single-day tickets are pricey but festival passes are reasonable.

    Al Stewart
    Kent Stage
    Kent, OH
    8.17.22

    Progday
    Chapel Hill
    9.3-4.22

    Heilung
    Masonic
    Detroit
    9.10.22

    Koslen, Dobeck & Pecchio
    Kent Stage
    Kent

It will be my 2nd time seeing Heilung. I expect it to be as transcendent as the first. Koslen, Dobeck & Pecchio are Michael Stanley Band and/or Breathless veterans. I'm expecting a killer show.

I'll be seeing the Boston Symphony Orchestra perform Mahler Symphony 6 on Friday. That will rock.

As a birthday present to me, two shows this weekend:

Tonight Pink Talking Phish and tomorrow that Rundgren/Belew/Scrotes(!) tribute to Bowie. Both are at the nearby Tarrytown Music Hall, so easy to drive to and reasonably-ish priced.

For sure Mark! It was excellent - great keys, lead guitar and the vocals were excellent. Besides the lead, each member took on the lead for singing a few of the songs.

I actually have no concerts coming up!

The Tramp of the Century is the Quebecois band. Went last Saturday night. It was excellent! Also saw the Hodgson show in 2019.

Nothing currently until Big Ears next year, Zoe Keating was a real treat last week. I'm sure something will come up that piques my interest.

Concert season slows way down in the winter around here, in fact I do not have anything lined up for the rest of this year which is unusual for me. Next year I have so far:

    Jan 13: Entransient
    Jan 27: Umphrey’s McGee
    Feb 24: Joe Bonamassa
    May 19: Foreigner

Keeping an eye out for ROSfest if it happens and ProgDay too.

Minor Empire is a Turkish folk band from Toronto.
