Thread: Suggestions for Featured Albums for SEPTEMBER

I'm only missing the debut, but I've seen it a couple of times on e-Bay for preposterous amounts of money. Anyway, there's so unfathomably many notes on the three Tipo CDs I have got that I'll still have to spend a couple of decades getting to know them. Arguably the most intricate "rock/jazz/progressive" ensemble there ever was.

Very true. Though it's generally my responsibility considering Duncan is busy keeping the site running. After a while though, it can get to be uninspiring to do. So it's great to shake it up a bit for the reason you state. In lieu of that, we're going this route. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

I think you'd be better off starting a thread. I can already tell you though from past history how that will go...

50% of the posts will be useful.

30% of the posts will debate what defines post-rock as bands with pretty different sound have been tagged as such.

20% will be devoted to telling the guy who asks the question "what is post-rock and how can it be "post"-rock, that's stupid" to shut up.

Anyway, enough thread derail. I will start a thread for you.

Thanks, but I was trying to answer your question. Maybe I worded my post poorly.

I guess what I meant was that I'd be interested in seeing more post-rock albums featured, so for example I'd echo Scrotum Scissors' suggestions, as well as any others that would be appropriate.

    Oh, I'd vote for that!

How about this, multiple Featured CD's of the Day divided by Genre. You could have a different moderator managing each genre ..... hmmmm.

I second the suggestion for Vinyl Confessions. I don't know about BOC's Mirror(unless you meant Curse Of The Hidden Mirror). The review of Mirrors on Vintage Prog isn't good.

    A few more...

Assemble Head In Sunburst Sound- When Sweet Sleep returned
    Sleepy Sun- Fever
    Om- Advaitic Songs
    Orchid- Capricorn
Quest For Fire- Lights From Paradise

Given the overwhelming popularity of all the discs I have listed, you should be able to have many multi-paged threads.
