I still like it.
Has it benefited from low expectations? Yes.
Is the only reason I gave it the time of day was it is a Yes album? Yes.
I still enjoy it. Some stuff veers into the realm of merely inoffensive, but a lot of it is actually good to my ears.
It doesn't rate compared to their best stuff, but so little does. I'm glad that they put out at least one album this side of the millennium that I enjoyed. It was far more than I had been expecting.
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
I love it.
The press reviews were actually quite positive . The only bad reviews I read were the hard to please 'No Anderson , No Yes ' fans here on PE . How anyone can say The Ladder , KTA , Magnification et al are better albums is a joke , but then i guess its because Jon was on those albums ?

I don't have the album. I listened to the songs many times even though I knew right away it sucked. I remember a tremendous amount of hoopla over the album when it first came out, in fact PE was practically taken over with Yes FFH threads! We should not have to feature this CD for another 10 years.
:P
Duncan's going to make a Horns Emoticon!!!
Zounds -- controversy!
I still like it, though I don't listen to it much. But if it comes up on random play it's an easy listen. I have hopes the current lineup can improve upon it with JD, both in terms of his creative input as well as forging newer material. I do think songs like "The Man You Always Wanted Me To Be" and "Hour Of Need" should have gone on solo records. But the rest of it is pleasant and Trevor Horn gets big kudos from me. I wonder if he'll be back for the next one?
I'm also hoping that after having played TYA, CTTE, and GFTO ad infinitum for the past 2 years the progressive risk-taking on those albums will rub off on anything new. That's sort of what's missing on FFH for me.
Meh! Collecting dust.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)
I'm still upset that Chris McGuire didn't call me personally and ask me what kind of Yes album I wanted them to make.

Easy, bro . . . . . . . I think we're on the same side here.

I still enjoy it. Pops up regularly on the iPod while riding. I take every Yes album face value as they come. Sometimes they move forward, sometimes backward, like a sports team..you don't ditch them because they lose a game...or season. IMHO of course...
The Ice Cream Lady Wet her drawers........To see you in the Passion Playyyy eeee - I. Anderson

Social Media is the "Toilet" of the Internet - Lady Gaga
A good album. Listened to it again to respond to this post as it never really grabbed me before and I was wondering if I missed something. For me, not as good as Magnification and Drama, which I really liked, Union and the Keys albums. On par with the Ladder and better then BG, Talk, OYE. Doesn't compare to the early , mid 70's works but I wasn't expecting it to. I'm glad they are still around and I'm looking forward to an album with Jon D.
As a Yes fan for nearly 40 true summers long, I was and still am quite happy with this album.

Liked it on first listen -- still like it. It's not the greatest Yes album but it's better than fair in my opinion. Certainly more listenable than Calling All Stations was for Genesis fans.
this album’s greatest triumph? benoit david sounds like HIMSELF. this is not to be underestimated.
