Nor have they ever played another "prog" tune apart from Zappa's "Peaches En Regalia". I thought it was very cool of them a few years ago to hint at what album they would play with a list of albums posted on their site and then one by one killing off ones that weren't making the cut. It gave their fans the chance to listen and explore many "prog" albums including "The Lamb", "Larks", "The Yes Album" etc. Of course they played it safe and chose The Stones' "Exile". During sound check that day, the band teased folks with "Starship Trooper" excerpts. I thought that "The Yes Album" would've been a perfect choice, but again, didn't make the cut. I doubt "The Lamb" gets played this Halloween, and especially doubt pg shows up on their stage in Jersey too. But, it would not surprise me if the band plays "TLLDOB" on New Year's Eve with pg. This way everyone gets rehearsal time and fans of both Phish and pg get the chance to vie for tickets. I believe my sources that tell me the bands annual NYE run will be in Brooklyn this year at the new Barclays Center too.
