What issue is that? And what is "dama viajera" - "Lady Ace"?

A few that come to mind:

Coincidentally, both are IMO better than the more well-known versions.

Wow! Never knew of this German Procol "Home". Any idea what year this is?

(Of course there is the well-known "green" alternate cover for procol harum 'Shine On Brightly")

    ...
Lev: it is Argentinian Vertigo . tracklist in Spanish. Isnt there a track on that orig. lp called "TRAVELLING Lady"??

I see my second picture does not show. Here is it again, from different source.

Yup, you're right, that must be it. Funny that both Chapter Three records started with a "lady" song.

I have the German press Magical Mystery Tour. Slightly different cover.
Said to be the best-sounding MMT.

I guess this is the origional cover. Ive never seen a copy. My copy of Ugly Custard is the French press on President. It has the better, more psychedelic, distorted green face coverart.

    Stolen from Biffyshrew's page.

Dang it, that worked in preview.

↑↑↑That’s the Mirage cover I’m familiar with.

The totally cheesy US cover to Moonmadness:

Speaking of, did Janus Records have some sort of moral objection to using a band’s original cover art? They changed all of Kayak’s album covers, too (even See See the Sun, which was released by Harvest, had a different cover in the US).

My first copy of Amon Düül II’s Phallus Dei looked like this:

    -------------
    MIKE (a.k.a. "Progbear")

‘“What blow, Goblin?” said Corinius.’ --E. R. Eddison

    N.P.:nothing

What is it with alternate covers, anyway? Why can't everything have just one cover?

Sometimes I think record companies do it on purpose, because they know that it will attract collectors.

Then there are the real tricksters - same lp but different coverart AND LP TITLE. Uriah Heep first " 'eavy n' 'umble" (or summat like that) and the Canadian press "same" with the Vernon nightmare creature purple & silver foc.

I think there is a Schultze one like this - Body Love?

Speaking of Schultze , the first one had three different covers.

@Dave - Those Best Band covers are terrible! What was Frank thinking? I know that Does Humor Belong in Music wasn't his, so that's excusable. What isn't is the fact that the 2012 reissues revert to the original covers!
