IL TEMPIO DELLE CLESSIDRE - AlieNatura

Second Album by TdC at 8/23/2013

Yes. First one was great, and anticipation hits the roof, I suppose.

Competition is getting stiff with allsorts Italian current "prog", especially with the incredible amount of high-quality releases by AltrOck, Maracash and Black Widow. Not a Good Sign, Ingranaggio and the amazing Homunculus Res albums get my main prize for now, though.

But I'm eagerly awaiting this one for sure.

Oh, and perhaps by now that reviewer in "Prog" Magazine has come to learn about music being sung in other languages than English. Albeit most probably not.

Their first CD was tremendous, near the top of my favorite releases from the last few years. Needless to say, I'm very much looking forward to this new one.

Okay...gotta ask. Without making you type tons, can you quickly paraphrase what was said?

He essentially made the short-cut that the band's use of native tongue vox was an "obvious" portal to "non-appeal" - as if such a phenomenon constituted something very rare in "prog". These are the kind of people who still seem to perceive it as if "prog" actually emannates from Dream Theater or Marillion. And - being a writer on progressive rock myself between 1998-2010 - I'd rather have such folks stick to their own limitations than try stepping out of them.

Got it Wish I could say I was surprised but....not so much. Thanks for the quick paraphrase, sir.

It's a Black Widow release, so the usual dealers should carry it. (Ken, Greg etc.)

They are really on a tear lately (Psycho Praxis, Ingranaggi della Valle, Three Monks, Maelstrom, etc). I wonder what's gotten into them.

I'm in touch with the label. It will go into general distro the first week of September. We'll have copies.

Dedication I think. Love for ancient-inspired prog. True love for vinyl too. I love this label!

That said, they should at least modernize their site, and get maybe a Bandcamp-page for their releases.

Why these latest Black Widow vinyl releases are so hard to find? Only shop i have seen all three (Maelstrom,Akasha,Arabs in Aspic) available is LASERCD.
For example BTF.IT don't have any of them.

They do sell the "Arabs in Aspic" and they do have the Akasha CD (on a dutch lable I think) but nor the BW LP.
Those 3 releases where poorly distributed (for BW standards).

As they where mentioned, the new Three Monks will also released on the first September week.
