    Choose Your Avatar & Discuss

what is your avatar and why did you choose it?

My avatar is my Studio Gruno skull. I use it in different forms on other message boards. I will probably rotate between a few of them here to see how that works. I like the avatar feature as some become the image I think of when remembering board users.

<-- This is my current portrait on PEv2 - so I kept it for consistency.

I'm told it's very true-to-life. I've been told bullshit, though - this is more true-to-life:

When I upload an avatar or picture in my profile, I find myself clicking the "save changes" at the bottom of the page, then get the following:

    Upload of file failed.

    But it does upload.

Could be me, but looks intuitive to "save changes" after uploading.

Yeah, I was getting this, too. I noted it in the Images thread.

Anyway, back on topic, I just always liked this pic of the Big Blue Marble. I'll probably change it when I get home, as I have many avatar-like images saved on the home PC.

I just went with an old Lord of the Rings avatar I had on file. It was the only thing that met the size requirement. My porn images are just way too big.

My avatar is one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands. I will change it from time to time, of course!

It was either Leftoverture or Song For America for me. Kansas started all this madness for me.

I have not had an Avator/picture on PE in five years. For me, Hittin the Note, is the best example of a band hitting there complete stride in their later years, rivalling their peak 70s years. I simply love the Allman Brothers.

Mine is the cover of the first Genesis album I ever owned. I'd already been listening to and buying a smattering of prog and prog-ish music (Oldfield, Tull, Yes, Queen) but this is the album that I think of as my "gateway drug" into the larger world of prog.
