Ressurecting the iPod Shuffle Thread

There's less Zappa there than I expected, that must be the only time you could run that random & get no Tull, statistical anomolie methinks.

LESS Zappa? It's mostly ALL Zappa! And the lack of Tull is interesting, particularly since I have all of the Tull albums and just a few Porcupine Tree.

These iPods seem to have a mind of their own. Sometimes when I do this 20 track shuffle thing, I think, "is my whole collection just jazz and fusion?" But other times there will be a lot of pop... or prog... or heavy rock... or Brazilian music. There's times when one shuffle will play three tracks from the same album. I swear, these things have their own genre moods...

I here ya ! All I have on mine is Krautrock, Psychedelic, Post-Rock and Electronic but there's over 1,600 songs but still i'll get a few Post-Rock tracks in a row and of the four sub-genres it's the one I have the least of on there by far. Or i'll get the same band back to back.
