My New Progressive Rock Radio Show

    Hello everyone,

Next Thursday from 8-10 pm Eastern will be the inaugural episode of my new internet progressive rock radio show, entitled "Prog Rock Deep Cuts with Ian Beabout". Specializing in rare cuts by classic and modern bands, Prog Rock Deep Cuts promises to match the obscure with the new and fresh. Broadcasted live from the Prog Rock Dungeon with occasional cohost cohorts (that means chamber prog is definitely on the table), you can stream the show on progrock.com and interact with the hosts in the Chat Room on the website. I plan to go in every week with a two hour setlist, but requests will be honored if I have them in my collection. Requests can be submitted on this thread, the official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ProgRockDeepCuts), the live chat room, or at Ian@progrock.com. I look forward to hearing from all of you!

    Ian

Debra Kedabra or Dash on The Rocks? I'm all for Debra Kedabra ... It's a weird one, but I love it! I highly doubt it will make it to Show 1, but I'll see what I can do. :-) I don't own the second one, but I'll look into it.

I love it too. There's only handful of songs that is as intense as Debra Kedabra.

Have you ever wanted to hear your voice on air? Record a promo saying "Hi, I'm _____ and you're listening to Prog Rock Deep Cuts with Ian Beabout". Add some music and be as creative as you like with it. If I like it, I'll play it on the show. Send them please to Ian@progrock.com.

I'm still overwhelmed at the positive responses we've gotten from the show. I'm working the best I can to get to all of them and thank each one of you personally. This is great ... I haven't been this genuinely happy in a long time and each day brings a new surprise. Thanks for helping me to keep the prog alive. Oh, and while we're at it, due to popular demand, the show has been extended to three hours (7-10 instead of 8-10 pm), so I can have a bit more time for longer songs, requests, and all of the banter between Dom and I! On a side note, I'm now accepting requests for show #3 - which will be an Aristocrats feature, but I'm looking for other things, besides A-Crats to play ... Though if you want to request material from "Culture Clash" I'm all for it! We're still not exactly sure what we'll be playing, but it is the involvement of YOU that makes this show special. Your requests, your promos, your voice that makes this show unique and eclectic.

Oh and by the way, here's the setlists for shows 1 and 2...

Not quite as strong as usual. We had half as many listeners as last week.

Well, that's too bad. Work interferred this week, but I'll be back next week.
Is there somewhere I can listen to the show?
