    John Carter-Bobby Bradford Quartet-Flight For Four-first time(complete) cd reissue

Flight For Four, a 1969 session by John Carter-Bobby Bradford Quartet, with Tom Williamson, bass,Bruz Freeman, drums, has been released on cd for the first time in its complete form,on International Phonograph.Four tracks (out of the five tracks on the original record)were issued in 1990 on the Novus cd West Coast Hot.Just received mine in the mail yesterday, can't wait to give it a spin.

The clips I post here are not from the new cd,just a taste of what's on the record.

I love this band and this album so much that I actually tracked down the vinyl of this about 10 years ago. Was NOT easy to find...

    Also have the NOVUS CD.

CLASSIC, great band and great album.

Sound is great, better than the West Coast Hot cd from 1990,to these ears.Tom Williamson's bass is much better etched in the stereo picture, imo. His bass lines are very impressive,a true revelation for(to) me.

A high-assay free-bop nugget...here at last in glorious sound. Here's hoping International Phonograph will do what he says he will do, namely, re-issue Self-Determination Music, the follow up record by this group, later this year or early next year.

I.P. are actually exhibiting at Capital Audiofest next week. I guess I'll get to see what they are up to and meet them.
