If anyone from Atlanta here:
Is there any concert going from july 15 to 19th of July?
Also, any record store worth checking out?

Phish @ Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre July 16.
"Henry Cow always wanted to push itself, so sometimes we would write music that we couldn't actually play – I found that very encouraging." - Lindsay Cooper, 1998
"I have nothing to do with Endless River. Phew! This is not rocket science people, get a grip." - Roger Waters, 2014
"I'm a collector. And I've always just seemed to collect personalities." - David Bowie, 1973
Living Colour @ Variety Playhouse - 7/19
Marilyn Manson @ Tabernacle - 7/17
But you know what? Fuck all that if it's your first time in Atlanta. Go to the Aquarium or the Zoo. Grab a chili dog and a FO at The Varsity. Go to Stone Mountain or the Woodruff Arts Center. Buckhead is nice if you're hip and like to hang out with other hip folks. Plenty of stuff to do without doing something that you can do anywhere, like seeing a concert.
Fantasyland Records on Pharr Rd is worthwhile for vinyl.
Swing Out Sister is at the Variety Playhouse on Tuesday night.
Phish is at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Actually, the Pleasant Hill location now has vinyl. Mostly crap, some gems. All alpha'd, but no sections, and no headers. At least not yet. No particular formula for pricing. They pay pennies on the dollar to sellers for everything, so it all retails for mostly $4 each. I'm sure that if they take in something really valuable, it never reaches the bins. This particular store is in a strip mall that looks like remnants from a post-apocalyptic nightmare. The owner is far from being congenial, and his employees appear to be very tense whenever he's in the store. Don't bother.
Too bad you can't stay for a few more nights: Yes is July 21.....
Criminal Records is not bad. That one right next to The Vortex and Junkman's Daughter sux.Decatur CD's is ok.I actually was disappointed with all the record shops in Atlanta....though i don't like vinyl either.
Buckhead??? Seriously?? Avoid Buckhead unless you like trendy yuppies and hip-hop wannbes.
Spend some time walking around Little Five Points (home of Criminal Records, Wax n Fax and many cool shops), East Atlanta Village (numerous shops and Atlantas\'s best rock clubs - EARL, 529, etc. Decatur - friendly small-town-in-a-city - Decatur CD, etc.
Wish'd I'd seen this earlier - I could've met you for lunch and shown you some Atl hospitality. It's our strong suit!
Thanks everyone. I finally took sometime to go to the Aquarium. Amazing place.
Looked for a few records stores named here, but guess what? couldn't find them
Cheers,
