    Vapor Trails at HD Tracks

I just picked up the High Def 96/24 version of Vapor Trails at HD Tracks. While not a remix, it is substantially cleaner and not nearly as hard on the ears as the original. I was forced to downsample the aiff in order to listen on my iPod due to my DVD burner crapping out, but the results are still worth it, IMHO. I can't wait to get a new burner and see what it does transferred to DVD-A in full res.

Was VT remastered yet? No news is posted on the wikipedia page for the album and I haven't heard anything about it.

According to Wikipedia, the plans for the VT remix have been downshifted.

I just read on the Ultimate Classic Rock website that a remixed Vapor Trails will be released on October 1st. One the same day, a box set called The Studio Albums:1989-2007 will be released. The box set will contain Presto, Roll The Bones, Counterparts, Test For Echo, Vapor Trails, Feedback, and Snakes And Arrows.

Check out www.rush.com where there is news about the remix album and a new box set (the Atlantic studio albums, Presto through Snakes and Arrows) due for release in October.

Personally, I love VT as it is, but am also looking forward to the Remix as well.

Damn! I just purchased the HD Tracks version of the whole box a few weeks ago. Looks like I'll need to re-purchase VT (3rd time's a charm, right?). Oh well, glad the remix has finally happened and I hope they master it properly as well.
