Judas Priest has a new DVD out called Epitaph from their most recent tour. I happened to be watching Palladia last night and they showed an hour long version of it (I think the DVD is around 2 hours). The glaring thing I noticed about it is that the vocals appeared to just about all overdubbed. Everything they showed a close-up of Halford he either had his mike right in front of his face so you could not see his mouth movements or they were side or far away shots where you could not really see his mouth. The occasional times that there were little snippets of close-ups the audio vocals did not appear to match what he was singing on stage. This was not just a song or two, but was through the entire thing. The video had all the classic techniques of overdubbed vocals. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this and had a similar impression or is this all in my head?
