There's definitely some excitement in the air. Off to a very good start.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Maybe it's because I've posted more on this site in the 10 days I've been a member than I did in
8 years of being a member on the old site.

(I can post a bunch, too. See? By the way, did y'all know you have to wait 30 seconds after posting to post another post in the same thread in which you just posted!)

That's it! The appeal must be your charm, my dear.

If you charm me, then I will charm you. If you're a putz, then you get putz back.

I'm glad PE is doing so well. It's a good place.

I wish I could put my finger on it. I have been compelled to visit here daily since the days we were on Yahoo, it is a constant in my life, and believe me my life has been through some topsy turvy times this past few years. Of course a love of prog is the heart of it, but I love other music dearly too, but have never sought a forum to shoot the breeze with like minded folk around the world. There is something special here which should be preserved in aspic, along with those larks tongues.

I hope it's the spirit of sharing at the heart of it. That's really the motivation, to share what we love with others that may love it too. Not sure how many sites have such a simple goal, maybe that sets us apart?

Would you say PE was a positive constant for you during that difficult time of change?

BUSTED!! (I was testing something )

It's gone now ... but many stars will be appearing soon. (Hint - think "stars" on PEv2.)

Sean, yes I would. There have been times I have not really wanted to post, but have always lurked and read. I'm not one for sharing problems with the world, but it was good to see my virtual pals enthusing about music and the tangential interests that divert us so. Anyway that's all behind me now, it was a few years ago now that I hit my marriage break up which was hard to take after 20 plus years together, but my kids and I are unscathed, our relationship is better than ever, and out of the dust I have walked into a new love that has so knocked me off my feet... she doesn't understand prog though, and I just can't define it for her. Possible thread title "what is prog." well it has been a while since we did it!

Forget it . They don't exist. It's just a myth.
