First track off of Big Blue Ball.
Yeah, that video was uploaded five years ago.
I don't see where Gabriel is at all interested in doing anything new.
Hopefully he'll surprise us like Bowie.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
That'll Do, Pig - 2013 Remix
Not only is that NOT new, that album was recorded from 1991, 1992 and 1995 sessions. I don't even have that record. I heard some stuff when it came out, kind of left me with a "meh" attitude. Maybe I shall re-visit this album.
He needs to sport the reverse mohawk again and then writing real stuff again. oooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Or finally go through his archives. I'm sure there are still plenty of treasures to find there!
That's why I placed the ? at the end of the g. I was not aware of this song until yesterday. I didn't particularly enjoy it myself. I thought it was a bit lifeless.
He and Tony Levin did some sort of wordless piano/upright bass duet when I saw PG and his band on tour last year. Just some "oh whoa whoa" vocals that he hadn't filled in the words to yet. No idea if it had a title or will ever turn into anything.

Revisited some of his older stuff yesterday, especially the period around So. For example, a tune like Dont Break This Rhythm is absolutely stunning! There is also an unedited concert from the So tour on Youtube which is a killer.
How groundbreaking do we expect artists in their 60s to be? I'm not being facetious, I'm wondering if any 60-plus rockers have re-invented the wheel like they did in their heady days of youth. As for PG, hell, he pre-dated the entire punk movement with The Lamb and steered an entire prog band there with him. The Lamb is my favorite punk album, btw, followed by Brain Capers by Mott The Hoople. That crap that came a few years later spitting on the crowds? Pure posers....
OK, I'll bite. What makes The Lamb a punk album?
What he said.
