There is no insulation thick enough to stop The Prog (TM). The Prog is the Borg Collective of music genres, assimilating all who cross it's path. Santana?...Prog!...Bowie?...Prog!...Petula Clark?...Prog!...Eventually all music will be Prog...It is inevitable...

and the PROGGYEST of all PROG is Britney Spears!

the mob mentality Progsnobs who live in mommies basement and can only play their music loud when she's away at bingo have deemed that Prog is no longer 'Music with a Rock rhythmic base including virtuosic Keyboard and/or Guitar playing within long-form morphing or suite style compositions' it is now 'anything we say it is and not anything we say it's not'. Mob mentality wins again! YAAAAAY

    don't forget the winky!

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Even though I don't like Bowie, I can not deny the capital P Progressive things he did with Rock music. And Santana's Prog stuff I'm familiar with. But please please please post the piece of music by Petula Clark that you think is Prog. I'd really love to hear that one!
