Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]

"Death to false 'support the scene' prog!"

please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.

    "Zhongle?"

    "Zhongle?"

"Hey, buddy, Wei gotchyez 'Zhongle': Right Heah!" (grabs trousers)

    (Sorry. Couldn't resist)

Interesting stuff, with very "acquired taste" vocals. The instrumentation reminds me of Rich Woodson's Ellipsis, although the music is quite different - more like post-rock with (no kidding) Chinese-style singing, than like Woodson's combination of avant-prog composition with jazz sound.

Carbondale, Illinois - at least according to this: http://www.carbondalerocks.com/node/87536. If so, I would guess they were students at So. Ill. U.

They are the bleu cheese of music! An acquired taste for some, no doubt! For me, I might enjoy that sort of piquantness once in a while. I think the players have the right chops and configuration to tackle my friend Will's challenge of a clarinet tribute to Styx: Liquorice Styx! They could make it happen!

I dig it. I especially like the vocals - very odd yet not room-clearing. Let us know how the gig went - thx.

Gig was great. They did the new album and except for the fact that Rob only played guitar and sang and there was no 'preparations' or violin, they basically sounded very close to the album.

    Really enjoyed it.

    Nice.

Is this a labor of love, or do they attempt to do this full time to pay the mortgage?
