wait... is Bobby wearing black panty hose?!?!

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Stolen from reddit - interview with Toby aimies......doc was apparently done then Robert did 8 hours of interviews at the start of quarantine lol. Some day it’ll be ready!

Some interesting stuff in there too about the creative process of filming the band and his other work. Have to imagine it comes out sometime this year right? Would have assumed if the live tour had happened that the physical release of the doc would be available to purchase by punters. And likewise with a new live album - curious when they’ll have one of those given meltdown is the most recent one and that came out fall 2018! That said, those of us that enjoy the current band have been spoiled re: live content released by them!

    interesting alternate take:

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

I love their Youtube releases. Walking on Air is a song I enjoy quite a bit--especially the live version from the Warfield on Vrooom Vrooom--but I think I might prefer this arrangement. It certainly seems more Crimson-y, in A Sheltering Sky sense.

Has anyone gotten notice of the postponed 2021 tour dates, or had an opportunity for a refund? The venue near me (the Glens Falls Civic Center) has been totally unresponsive. I'd hold my tickets if they reschedule or are going to, but if not I don't like them holding ontp hundreds of dollars that me and my friends put up.

Just got an email earlier today from DGM about the status of tickets for shows that couldn't go off because of Covid. Check your email.

Oh, the album version with Bill’s brushes is by far better. This version is pretty cool, though.

It looks like Separation from the 2014 Tour Box is getting a full release on this record. I'm interested to hear how much more to that song there is. It always sounded like a really good bridge to me.

Hey, looky there. It's the 2020 Tourbox.

A 2019 version of "Sheltering Sky" and 2017 version of "Exiles" are the highlights for me.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I saw it earlier today but didn't notice the Tracks tab. The Letters suite, with two of the sections being comprised of isolated Rieflin tracks, look like the thing that would be most interesting to me.

Whaaaaaat. I know that 2017 Exiles is supposedly not so great due to the lack of violin in this lineup, but I am still eager to hear it!
