    Fred Armisen's totally rad outro

Other than Jason Sudekis' (sp?) "drumming",that is. Don't quit your day job, Dude! (not that i'm really worrying about him...)

That may have been the coolest way ever for a cast member to end his/her run on SNL.

It wasn't anybody I liked, or any good, but it was miles ahead of the musical guest.

I didn't know he was leaving. Does he really expect to have much of a career outside of SNL? I won't say it's impossible, but I kind of doubt it.

All 3 of the SNL people in that "band" are reportedly leaving the show.

I dunno, "Portlandia" seems like a pretty good start.

So who were all of the "guests" that came up on stage? I recognized Steve Jones, Aimee Mann, Michael Penn, but not sure about the others. As Kerry metnioned Armisen already has his own show in "Portlandia', so he seems to be doing ok. The other two have already been in a lot of movies so I think they will doo all right too.

The guy with the long grey hair (and looking kind of like a deer in headlights) was J Mascis of Dinousar JR (the guy is a fucking guitar god) and makes appearances on Portlandia. Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth was there too.

Portlandia is excellent, miles funnier than any SNL episode of late.

I found this song every bit as thrilling as his performances on the two or three episodes of Portlandia I've seen.

Is that a series or a movie? Haven't heard of it, but if it's popular then I guess I'm wrong. I don't actually watch much TV so if he's doing stuff on TV aside from SNL I didn't know.

I think the only one not mentioned so far is Carrie Brownstein, his Portlandia co-star (who is also in the indie bands Sleater/Kinney and Wild Flag).

Portlandia is, at times, close to brilliant.

Fred Armisen was the drummer with a well known Chicago based punk band called Trenchmouth (1990 - 1996).
And if there were a god, I think it very unlikely that he would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence - Russell

And like SNL hits about 20% of the time -- on a good night.
