Nik Bärtsch: New interview now live on Innerviews

    Hi All,

My new interview with Nik Bärtsch, who is, in my opinion, one of the most important composers and pianists on the planet, is now live on Innerviews. This is one of the heaviest, deepest pieces I've run in a long time. Nik is an incredibly expansive thinker and will impress you with his thought-provoking perspectives.

There has been quite a bit of interest in Nik on PE, so I thought it appropriate to post this here.

    You can read it here:

You can also check it out on the (groovy) free Innerviews iPhone/iPad app here:

Innerviews' front page also contains, umm, a few, erm, prog artists as well. You might have heard of a few of them. :-) http://www.innerviews.org

Thank you for this. Bärtsch is fascinating, as is his music. It's great to hear more of the story of how it comes about. I found it interesting that he speaks at length about the vibe of the band changing with Andi Pupato's departure, but not at all on the change in the bass chair. Perhaps he saw that as less of a structural alteration, and so less significant. I hope that with his continued expanding notoriety he is able to bring Ronin to the US for a more extended tour in the future.

A lot more to come. :-)

Let's safely say this is an artist in it for the long run, with great momentum behind him.
