China, the future of new rock ? Omnipotent youth society - superb -

I believe a couple of years ago I mentioned this band here in PE, this was one of my top albums in 2011.

The complete album can be heard in myspace, however the player does not have the correct song order,
maybe I got used to hear it on my CD so I advise to play it like that. ( see song number)

For my ears this is a phenomenal album, one that has been on my player for a long time . Love at first hear.

The longer songs develop to fantastic endings...

Thanks for the tip -I'd no idea there were any prog type bands in China, and this is surprisingly uncliched. It seesm that just about every country has at least one prog band somewhere if you dig enough, and given teh size of China I suspect there must be many more we're not aware of.

What's funny about this? Because the topic is redundant? Come off it ;-)
I'm thankful for the information about OYS.

Amazing album ! This is on my top 10 albums of this decade already after hearing it a few times.

For me, the best discovery in PE in many years.

original, fresh, classic everything is present in this album.

Thanks a lot for being "funny". Do it again.

.. which reminds me that we know less than we should about China as a modern cultural power in general. I tried at one point to watch Chinese movies on Netflix, but kind of couldn't synch with their rhythm.

not bad, kind of a cross between first-era Rush and the Decemberists

The thread in question was basically a "China has no Prog" thread--so to (sub)title to this one--- "The Future of New Rock?"--- struck me as pretty funny...

This sounds like a pretty cool album, based on the samples......

No problem--will check the whole thing out when I get a chance.

Cold Fairyland is pretty cool, I think...for those looking for Prog from China.
