Well, considering how Mr. Wilson likely sells 80 times the number of Damon Waitkus (below) and crew, those are actually great news for genuinely creative music, as the proportionate equation levels out the veneer of general vs. "genre" interest.

And that count didn't include a vote from me for Jack O The Clock as I only got the album this week. It's very good.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Well I've only listened to it three times so far but it feels like a grower.

Ian, when you've acquainted yourself with this one, I sincerely urge you to check out their previous two releases. Both are excellent, if a bit more edgy and hesitant to begin with - but this band is truly experimental in a most distinct and accessible manner. I'm completely captivated by them myself, just like I became after digging into other such unique progressive artists as Make A Rising and Alec K. Redfearn.

I'm a big Redfearn fan having most of his work, Make A Rising have been on my must checkout list since Udi recommended them. I love exploring this kind of experimental music.

For me this is like the Grammy's, you watch it for a nipple slip or pantyless crotch shot but you just can't take it seriously.

Thank you for listing this release. Had never heard of it until this list. Has that "nordic" sound I fell in love with in the 70's without sound dated. Cost a bit to get a real copy, but worth it.

Just received and listened to Lifesign. Very nice debut album indeed. Looking forward to hearing more from these guys down the road.
Certainly doesn't sound like a freshman release at all.

One more to the collection that I'm really glad was listed in this thread, now that I've heard it (thanks ProgBear)

Ingranaggi Della Valle - In hoc signo

Sung in Italian, so I have no clue what the songs are about, but holy cow can this band play. Who is that guitar god (Flavio Gonnellini)?

This is their first release! Damn, it's got to be one of the best first releases I've heard in a long time. more info here: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=8334

Ingranaggi Della Valle are incredible. A really fantastic debut Album.
Bands like this one are the reason I'm so much into Italo prog.

I agree that it's truly magnificent, but on continuous listenings I'd really love for the production to have been just a tad more versatile and articulate towards all the nuanced detail in those arrangements. There should have been just a scent of more bottom to the whole thing. I still haven't got the vinyl version so I might be wrong, but seeing how the album was apparently recorded all-analog it could probably benefit from being listened to on LP.
