I'm not saying that there won't be another Album, they just posted stuff which seemed like a a cover
of a new Album with the funny name of Oceanurina.

But that seemed to be just a tour Motto...

I follow them so if there is any News I will post it!

I'm curious how Unreal City will sound with their new guitarist.
Luca did really well, he almost made their former (awesome) vocalist forgotten. Let's see how Alex does.

Something new wouldn't be bad for Unreal City as they became a bit "samey" to me (still great though).

Regarding Basta! :They definitely played a song called Oceanurina at Terra Incognita and indicated that there was a new album coming, but I don't recall a timeline.

I also was able to get some positive Feedback from "La Torre del' Alchimsita" and "Fonderia" on their long going
works on new Albums. I already send those to the graveyard on my list.

But still give several years before those will be released...

Is it just me, or does it seem as though the number of these new Italian Prog-Rock releases is slowing? Considerably.

It's not just you. The last year and half seemed slow to moi. I purchased 15~ RPI albums in 2017. 3 in 2018. Zero so far in 2019.
I suppose Barock Project and Unreal City will release albums in the next 12 months. Autobuys for me.

Yes they are, absolutley nothing happening the last months. If you follow my "lists" you will notice that many releases
are there for years now. Many of those should have been released in 2017.

So a lot of stuff is stuck (for whatever reasons) but also the number of Releases that I didn't saw coming seems to
down to about zero (there where a lot in the last years).

I really hope that gets better...

Solo Album by Presence guitarist (of Course the title is German and as almost always it's wrongly conjugated)

    Yes. Slowing. Not just you.

We're all getting senile, including the musicians. I only hope the 'Alchimistas get to release that followup at all; was it 12 years now since Neo?

11 years since Pigiama Psicoattivo by El Topo, an Italian combo halfway between Tortoise and JagaJazzist. I listened intensely to that one this summer, after not having unwrapped it since buying the thing on release ten years ago! So Yeah, it's all slowing down drastically. We'll be preparing for old age and evil death real soon, but preferably not before we get to experience electric turbo Walkers for the elderly. I'm having mine equipped with a stereo and speakers, blastin' some hot sympho while I'm moving along.

Yes, that was 2007 and one of the reasons why I got into new Italian Prog (of whatever colour) so Deep.

I rember an interview back then where they said the next Album wouldn't be out before 2017. I thought they where
    joking

In 2016 most of my fave Italian bands had their bases loaded with new works and I was expecting 2017 to become
a Prime year for Italian Prog but they all got stuck or died (some even with fully recorded and produced Albums)

La Torre del'Alchimista, Mad Crayon, Fonderia, Ezra Winston, Gran Turismo Veloce and Egonon etc.

Some of those will see the light after years (and years) in the making, some are finally gone…

If you like El Topo: Some of the guys are still active in other Projects like MU (minimalistic)

Italy is of course still one of the most productive countries but you can still see a decline:

    Altrock/Fading - Gone
Mellowrecords - Down to selling their back catalogue on Bandcamp (with Maybe a new release or two a year)
Aereostella - Down to one or two Releases a year (they will do Barock Project though)
Andromeda Relix - Are much more into their Hard/Heavy side than before
Black Widow - Reduced the number of Releases and release more Black Metal than before
MaRaCash - Slowed down and went to "saver" grounds than before…

    Etc. Etc. Etc.

Wow... hard to believe it has been that long already. I had to wait months after its release to actually buy a copy; it was back before I knew of very many prog vendors in the states. The compositions on Neo were leaps and bounds ahead of their first album. Played the heck out of it, and still listen to it every now and then.

I'll have to check out that El Topo (Jodorowsky reference?), as that sounds quite interesting.

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
