Hey H! We're a quarter way thru 2018.
What are your top 3-4 2018 Italian Albums so far? You can add 2017 "late comers" from Nov-Dec 2017.
Hmm.. In the last years there always where a lot of great releases during changing years, but 2017/2018 there is (was) not
really much (not in quantity or quality).
So I can only list:
La Dottrina degli Opposti - Arrivederci sogni
Calibro 35 - Decade
Reale Accademia di Musica - Angeli Mutani (which I haven't bought yet 'cause it's a little to "Pop" for me)
OAK - Giordano Bruno
I hope there will be many more soon, there are many bands working on albums (but also many vanishing while doing so)

Delta a band that plays rather elegant (somewhat simple) melodic Prog. They claim to be inspired by PFM, I can't say I hear that
but they have a very good (female) singer.

Some random unheralded Prog (and close) bands from Italia (just to show the diversity of the scene)
Have fun discovering them...

I found a few more that are worth being mentioned here.
- Overture
- Marco Ragni - "The Wandering Caravan"
- Undertable Dreams
None as good as the Homunculus Res though.
^^
Maybe I'm getting a little bit choosy latley
I think I forgot to post about Overture at all...

Compe di Marte - 1973......Highly recommend indeed!........
Compe di Marte - 1973
^ Excellent album, but this thread is supposed to be for new stuff.
Better than both Campo di Marte and Compe di Marte is Gumbo del Madre.

Oh boy! Oh boy! Do it again, Ske.

I was actually going to post about Reversal Symmetry who have an album out called "Jekyll and Hyde", but they are to much Heavy Metal for me.
Some of their members where in a band called Layra before. And their very melodic Prog Metal (sung in Italian) was much more interesting:
Just a live concert by one of my fave bands (I hope they will reform sometime)
