I tried to buy the CD off of Bandcamp. The CD was reasonable at 15 Euros but the shipping was 11 Euros so I couldn't justify paying $38 Canadian for one CD. Oh well.
Does anyone know where I could buy this CD with much cheaper shipping?

    Some short news

Fabio Zuffanti finished the recordings for his new album "In/Out".
He also finished producing the second album by "Il Sentiero Di Taus".

Psycho Praxis seem to be back in the studio recording something (Yeahh)

Saint Just (Again)'s album "Prog Explosion" will finally be released on CD with some bonus tracks (the very limited LP is out for some years)

Three members of SITHONIA formed the new project SINTESI DEL VIAGGIO DI ES and released “Il Sole alle Spalle” via Lizard Records
Valerio Roda (bass), Marco Giovannini (vocals), Sauro Musi (guitar) resume the progressive thread of the band from Bologna that has been an important protagonist of the rebirth of Italian progressive rock from the 80s.
“Il Sole alle Spalle” inherits the typical characteristics of records that have left their mark as “Spettacolo annullato”, “Hotel Brun” and “La Soluzione semplice”: typically Italian interpretation and melody, always appealing songs length, with the indispensable 15-minutes suite, the conclusive title track, which knows how to unfold in different images and moments, from the most symphonic and rocking to the most delicate breath of acoustic guitars, piano and flute.
Just the flute of Eleonora Montenegro becomes a distinctive element for the traits of greater lightness and sweetness, until folkish Celtic digressions (there is also a tin whistle for the occasion).
The band is completed by Nicola Alberghini on drums and Maurizio Pezzoli on keyboards, with the typical references of Hammond, Moog and mellotron to feed seventies atmospheres.

This is earth-shattering, scorching jazz-rock. Need to hunt it down! I am surprised it hasn't popped up on anyone's radar until now. As I understand, it is a 2016 release. YouTube has a few more clips with other songs, well worth listening to.

Yepp saw that a few days ago, sounds good. I wonder if the vocalist (ex Sithonia) is still with Meseglise (the other ex Sithonia band)

    Attention shoppers!!:

Slivovitz has a new one, a very good "live" one IMO:
    Liver. -- recommended!! -

    https://slivovitz.bandcamp.com/album/liver-24bit-882khz

    https://slivovitz.bandcamp.com/track/negative-creep -- --

"Recorded live in Milan, Italy, in May of 2016, "Liver" showcases the eccentric Italian maestros at their collective best -- playful, daring and just having fun!"
"While many live albums may come across as merely a rehash or an attempted recapturing of some previous musical magic, from the opening frame it's apparent that Slivovitz is completely engaged in the material -- showcasing both their collective and individual brilliance and ambition, while continuing to push the bounds of each song's structural and harmonic blueprints."

A new album by Prowlers a band from the 90s best known that their Keyboardist is one half of DAAL. Somehow they never really got me,
but this one seems to be better.

I'm pretty sure I own their seminal 70s release (with the same face on the cover). Again, another wonderful sounding album.

    I found this blurb:

Less known to the Italian prog fans than many other far more acclaimed colleagues, the Piedmontese band Dedalus are among the most daring acts - and hence, progressive in the truest sense of the word - of the '70s, especially during the first half of the decade, the one that saw them releasing their first two LP's "Dedalus" and "Materiale per tre esecutori e nastro magnetico". While the first album was mainly based on jazz-rock coordinates, similar in style to Perigeo, the following work marked a strong break with the past; in a word: avant-garde. We're therefore not afraid to place those years' Dedalus on the same level of courage and experimentation of Demetrio Stratos' better known Area.

The two LP mentioned are just a part of this deluxe box-set that, in a graphic design that recalls the historical cover of "Materiali per...", contains Dedalus' entire studio production, under any line-up of theirs, from their origins to 2015. Thus, collectors will be delighted to know that the almost impossible to find "Pezzi '75 -76" and "Pia Visione", in addition to the unreleased "Pezzi '94", the 13-minute recent "Dedalus-Ricercare n.1" and "Due estratti dal Concerto al Palasport di Torino (1 maggio 1975)" are present here. The latter is actually a live recording, but gives the idea of what was like to attend a Dedalus' concert in their maximum peak era.

The audio portion, distributed over four CD's, is augmented by a visual and narrative side: the box-set in fact contains also a real book that tells the history of the group, from the point of view of the main protagonists themselves, all seasoned with a series of previously unseen photographs. "Le Ricordanze" is, in conclusion, the definitive document and celebration of one of the most creative bands that came out from the Italian music scene.

    Anyone got this? Very intrigued.
