Alphataurus have started working on a new Album, which will again contain some material
based on unreleased stuff from the 70s.
New Album by Ubi Maior - "Incanti bio meccanici" Febuary 10th
New Unreal City disc arrived today. I did already check this one out on Progstreaming but now it's time for a proper spin on my system. I love these guys!
Interviewer of reprobate ne'er-do-well musicians of the long-haired rock n' roll persuasion at: www.velvetthunder.co.uk and former scribe at Classic Rock Society. Only vaguely aware of anything other than music.

Some slightly different but good stuff:
Moorder (Tuba Jazz Prog)
R-11 (Industrial Prog)
Il Tempio Della Clessidre..
Another band (like Calibro 35) recreating the Sound of 70s italian Soundtracks/Libary
La Batteria
mad fellez is very good and there is a band that not a lot a people talk but is very very good is "entity"and to answer zalmoxe syn phonic music have them all
Another newbie with very good vocals and very tasteful use of keyboards (recommended)
Mosaico (from the Album Vola)
As you might know, this is a side project from Fonderia. They are working on a new album as well.
It Looks like Paolo Tixi left Il Tempio delle Clessidre.
So if you happen to be a Drummer and live in Italy, there's a Job vacant.
Osanna started recording an album called "Palepolitana". Sure sounds promising...
Il Rumore Bianco and FEM both lost their lead vocalists. (maybe they just interchange them )
Ballo delle Castagne new album: "Soundtrack for an Unreleased Herzog movie" in March
(there should be also a live/studio recording called "Private Press" don't have any release info on that one)
It looks like Tony Pagliuca (Le Orme) joined CASTELLO DI ATLANTE. The release of Arx Atlantis will be postponed
in order to contain new songs and recordings with Pagliuca (who will also appear in Quebec).
There is a positive review of this album at

hey fellas, been listening to Deus ex Machina for last 2.5 weeks. nothing else really... cant say enough how amazing these guys are. have Giallo Oro in my cans as we speak. Piras is surely one of the best, only Einar Solberg can come close. Actually their voices are very similar in power and quality. Collina's guitar playing is so refrshing and raw. Trotta's drumming is just pure joy. Puglissi on hammond. OMG! And how technical all of that is. Amazing indeed. Any rumours of new material being recorded, anyone? It's been a while...
I seem to remember Steve F. telling us that DEM are as good (!) as gone. Puglisi is active with several other projects of course, but mostly in the field of experimental contemporary jazz like the Specchio Ensemble etc.
De Republica, Cinque and particularly Equilibrismo da Insofferenza are extraordinary albums. They were all alone in doing what they did with the latter. I didn't really appreciate the rerecording of "Fine del Mondo" (on Imparis), though - the original's such an absolute monster.
"Improvisation is not an excuse for musical laziness" - Fred Frith
"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM
if they are gone, that is a major blow. Sad... And Equilibrismo is a true masterpiece , correct! I really enjoyed that DVD as well, especially the last bit with Ad Montem and Piras riding his bike. Funny how they ripped apart that Italian TV show, not your average Sanremo festival, eh!
after I've done another pass on De Republica... wondering what else I'll be wanting to listen to? have had a couple listens to new Beardfish in the interim... not inspired.
I'm pretty sure the Wayside mailer shows a new album Coming Soon. Or at least he did have it on there at one point recently. Of course, I don't have one handy as I delete them after reading, and I don't think he posts it anywhere else. Can anyone corroborate that for me?
