I just stunbled on this a couple days ago - good to hear Phil Anselmo still shredding some vocal cords

And so is Mike Patton -

The Faceless new album "In Becoming a Ghost" comes out December 1st.

wasn't too into their last album Autotheism, but the track "The Spiraling Void" from 2015 is awesome and it is included on this album.

    Thanks, Jen! Sounds good!

This group of the Icelandic bunch above has done the best job of capturing my attention (and ears).

I can confirm that the upcoming release from Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard is superb. Stoner-y doom...heavy as hell.

The most recent release from The White Swan is also excellent: listen here - http://www.realgonerocks.com/2017/06...-the-white-ep/

I threatened them earlier, but if there are any metal fans still checking this thread, come and listen to Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard!

    It doesn't suck.

But it might be more in John Battema's wheelhouse than mine...

    Musically - excellent.

But don't follow the lyrics (on the video) - they're beyond over the top

^ Duncan, it might be you just don’t get the lyrics.

Just kidding! It’s like Baby’s First Melodic Death Metal. But the music is cool!

Nice! I've hear the first 3 songs they released from it and they sound like classic Judas Priest.

I've only heard the first 2-3 tracks so far. The guitars sound like Megadeth or Accept. There is a bit of the classic sound. I'll post more thoughts about it later.
