Been listening to Pantera...Cowboys From Hell!

Good grief this is devastating. Thrashy, groovey, heavy AF.

Been listening to the Cowboy era. Phil Anselmo had a great rock voice, the harsh vocals are a deal killer. I like Cowbays From Hell and some tracks off of Vulgar Display.

    Pantera were Thrash Halen.

I burned out on those guys years ago. I don't even like hearing Hetfield's voice now.

For Duncan, Frankie, Mr. White and those who appreciate the less straightforward road for their metal...holy god the new Oranssi Pazuzu is phenomenal.

Thanks, John - I'll "spin" it in the morning, while I'm working.

nice. with all the madness of the world I forgot this was coming out.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.

It's both a good and bad thing that as soon as the vocals kicked in I immediately thought of Mr. Doctor and Devil Doll but it works well and damn, the music is just fine. It's a great album, easily my favorite from them so far.

Maybe you've heard of this before, but someone just brought it to my attention:

Vivaldi Metal Project : Four Seasons

I wouldn't call it "metal", though parts of it are pretty hard-edged. But whatever the genre, I like it!
    Regards,

    Duncan

    I am revisiting......Judas Priest......Firepower.

Heavy and melodic. That's what I love about classic metal, it's melodic.

Considering how far along they are in their career, that is a really really good album.

Great album. Was near number 1 on my year end list. As you say, very impressive given their collective age

Tried listening to the latest Cirith Ungol album. The lead singer is awful. Deal breaker. I like their style but can't stomach the lead vox.

    Fuck it:

    Black Sabbath..... Paranoid (The album).

It's really my favorite Sabbath album to be honest.

It was my favorite Sabbath album. Unfortunately, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was released the following year.

Not a big fan of SBS. I rank it last. I like 13 more than SBS.

How unfortunate for you. And might I say seemingly odd you would rate it so low. Brilliant album.
