New BOSTON album due [don't hold your breath!]

Yeah, I actually think that guitar work is the tastiest on the album.

For all the hype about Scholz as a producer/engineer, and at least some of it was deserved, that first album would not have come up releasable quality if John Bolan hadn't been involved as co-producer. He showed Scholz how to record the acoustic guitars, produced and recorded the vocals in L.A. and got the drums sounding right.

I thought that the only thing that John Boylan did was produce Let Me Take You Home Tonight in L.A. Thus, allowing Tom to work on the debut album tapes back home.

I think he was heavily involved with all the vocals and drum mix. I don't know if I can find articles to support that though...

Most felt that way with the second release. Many felt that way with the second SIDE of the debut.

Yeah, that's pretty much it for me as well. I rarely played side two of the debut back in the day. The second release had only a couple great tracks.

The second release is pretty much a clone of the first, albeit without the mega-hit More than a Feeling. I never really got into 'em beyond those two.

I think Walk On is way better than the second album & Third Stage. Havnt heard the new one yet!

Amazon had some copies already available 'used' on the day it was released.

Probably promo copies that were sent out to record stores or media.
