For Zappa fans (& more): great new album by Avshalom Ariel

    Greetings,

Eyal Amir turned me on to what must have been a preview video of Avshalom Ariel's new album, The Love Beach Girls' Choir - A Rock Opera, a while back--and I remember being quite impressed at the time. Being so busy these days, I kind of forgot about it for a while, but then saw a link on Eyal's Facebook page for the album last week and figured I'd have to check it out--and I have to say that it's very intriguing, eccentric, creative, and musical. The entire album can be streamed (and purchased) here:

Definitely one of my favorite releases so far this year, and one that should appeal to a lot of Zappa fans in particular. Enjoy!

    Cheers,

    Alan

Although I've only listened to the first track and half of the second, this is quite good. I only wish I knew what they were saying.

Elements of the second track remind me of Magma (among lots of other things).

    Hi again,

Perhaps a couple of videos may be in order (both very cool IMO):

    Cheers,

They have the crazyness and humor + great musiciansship and composing skills that generally are lacking in todays music.
And even though I dont get a word of it, its evident

Reminds me of Zappa and Magma. Good stuff.

    I love the music,
Unfortunately for me- I also understand the lyrics,
    They make me cringe :S
