But could he do it without being so political? I don't think that's what they want for the Tonight Show. Despite my disagreements with him, I find Stewart to be funny. Tonight Show host? Can't see it.

Funny thing is, if he didn't make the joke, far too many of us would have looked at that picture and said it looked like a mellotron.

Totally agree. He belongs on cable with Colbert. I love both shows, but no show makes me laugh out loud like Colbert. Probably the smartest-written show on TV.

Stewart and Colbert are the perfect antidote to the nightly news. I usually record both, then watch 'em right after wallowing through the pessimistic prattle that passes for news these days. It saves me for another day - - - - - - Jef

O'Reilly has been on The Daily Show a number of times, as have others on the right. Stewart brings on many people with whom he disagrees (both left and right) and has very intelligent, respectful discussions. He'll also be very frank. He's one of the best in the biz, IMO.
