Played this again - what a disappointment, it could have been so much better

Mick B mentioned on the Nektar forum, apparently before he'd heard it, that he'd hoped it would be along the treatment of their cover of "Sealed with a Kiss" - that's exactly what I would have had in mind

My guess is that the label told them to keep their arrangements very faithful to the originals. Though why you'd bring in Nektar if that's what you want eludes me.
