Ugh. That was not nice. Lots of autotune in vocals.

I dig the song. It has that big Stonesy riff, but it also seems to have some ELO/Beatles in there. It’s got some nice twists and turns and tasty guitar. What I’m not feeling is the vocal sound. Can some heroic person not write a devastating computer virus that irreparably corrupts all iterations of Auto Tune or similar vocal changing software on every hard drive in the world? I keep waiting for a vocal section in the new song where he actually sounds like Trevor Rabin and not some pitch modulated robot and it never arrives.
Not bad if you like Rabin! The main riff is eerily similar to Tom Petty's "Jammin' Me."

What a shame. Good riff, really... But the vocals... yeah... um. Trevor has such a pleasing tone to his voice when it is in his normal range. Not here.
Others have mentioned elsewhere that the production seems awfully crowded and overwhelming. I'd have to say that I agree.
Good for him to be putting out more music, though. I'm sure that a lot of people will dig it.

That was fun. 80s vibe and sounds. Not familiar with his solo work, and heard only part of 90125 not all. Vocals I didn't mind. And didn't focus much on lyrics. Knowing his role in OALH, plus hearing the first bits of this, it was clear what kind of song this was going to be, lively rock and pop, so that's how I listened, and the song worked nicely under such listen, when you see that the vocal melodies, if you focus on that mainly, is how the song is moving, without everything else underneath take the main attention, moves just fine as a poppy rock song, the vocals would've been fine a bit lower too but this is ok.
Nice change/contrast from all the other threads in its neighborhood.
If you guys don't know Can't Look Away, go check it out. It has that Big Generator-esque production (1989), but it slays in many spots. I've loved it since high school.
Yeah, this sounds like classic Rabin.
I was hoping for, but not really expecting, something a bit more interesting after Jacaranda, but I'll at least give this album a listen when it comes out.

Don’t get me wrong. I like virtually everything about the song except for the vocal production. I have to stop listening to it only because the album isn’t out for two months and I don’t want to burn out on the one song. That’s a “win”.
"It was a cruel song, but fair."-Roger Waters
So he didn't write this? The YouTube video credits music & lyrics to Dante Marchi, one of the backing vocalists (not a female, despite what you may have read above).

I found this interesting:
The limited CD+Blu-ray mediabook and limited deluxe gatefold red 180g 2LP + Blue-ray also features the following bonus tracks:
01. Spek & Polly
02. Fragile (Demo)
03. Georgia
I wonder if that "Fragile (Demo)" is the original version that was used for the TV series Agent X, or the version that Anderson and Wakeman added bits to and was "leaked" as an ARW song.
Horrifying production, not a natural sound anywhere in sight. I think something serious happens to the ears of some of these old geezers - hope the same won’t happen to me.
That said, a shame, because it’s a cool tune. With a proper recording and mix it would’ve been a great little symph-pop gem. A bit of a Toy Matinee feel to it.
