A NYC keys player named "Otto von Ruggins". He's had a number of bands over the years, this one being Kongress.

Mostt of the stuff on this thread could easily find its way in the Stoner Rock thread

And the avenue can be a tw-way street for many Stoner rock bands
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

I just spotted this thread. I run the Dodson and Fogg project. I thought I may as well share the link to my site in case anyone wanted to know more about it.
it's been getting some really good reviews and all the music is available from my own site, as well as digitally on all those big websites:
    http://wisdomtwinsbooks.weebly.com/dodson-and-fogg.html

The new one, Derring Do, got a really good review on DPRP the other day too, which was cool: http://www.dprp.net/reviews/201327.php

Tom, wonderful new discovery. Do you know if this is available (or will it ever be) on CD?

Hi Eddie - Unfortunately, probably not. The Kommun label seems dedicated to LPs only. I think it would be cool if a CD label licensed from them, maybe Transubstans? But if you do still collect vinyl, at least they give you one heck of a package - thick and oversized gatefold cover and great sounding vinyl!

^^^ Hi Spyros - My copy of Purson is already here! Got the CD from Ken. But I haven't heard it yet...

Oh - did you see Blood Ceremony's new album is coming out in late May? Titled "The Eldritch Dark". Looking forward to that one!

No, and I'm glad they didn't. To me, this is just bad stoner rock, nothing more.

Eddie and all - Joe just informed me that Kama Loka is indeed coming out on CD! And just as I suggested - it will be on Transubstans. Look for a late May release!

Not a big fan of female singers in general. There are a few exceptions, but you can keep your Dagmars, Ingas, etc. This one above is no exception.

What's with all the psychedelic jams and stoner rock... prog has this thing called 'structure'.

I'm giving the Tusmorke a first listen right now. It's pretty great if you like the early 70s style and aren't wetting yourself over originality. These guys do "get it."

    Love it.

I do like the female singer in Finnish folk-prog outfit Viima, BTW.

A young Roman band clearly inspired by the Italian prog of the 70s
