I'm only watching the Sunday Night game at this point to see if Dallas reaches 50 points.

I think the chargers will regret losing that one.

Ravens defense looked good but Lamar's passing and decision making were not up to par with his salary. His running kept the offense moving and a couple questionable penalties on the defense kept the game from becoming a blowout. I think I read the final score of 25-9 had never been done before. Losing four starters during the game didn't help either.

It was an amazing spectacle if you're a Cowboys fan. I am used to being on the other side of those. However, with all that gushing talk, it's evident to me the team has lost a step offensively with Kellen Moore gone as the OC. Dak's line 13-24 for 143 and 0TD, 0INT. I realize the team was in control, but also worth noting they only had 122 rushing yards as well. If there IS realistic Super Bowl buzz to be had, it won't happen with those numbers.

So, maybe sitting your starters for the preseason isn't the best strategy after all.

Sloppy football across the league. Dropped passes on every team. QBs were hit and miss on every team.

I'm hearing it's an Achilles injury. Done for the season I'd imagine.

Yes. However, it looks like the Jets are very competitive anyway.

Ultimately, Rodgers will quite possibly get a return for the money he gave up, whether monetary or otherwise. If taking less persuades others to take less and helps the Jets put together a better team, Rodgers can add to his legacy by getting back to the Super Bowl, for the first time since 2010. There’s value in that, especially when it comes to Rodgers’s unofficial placement among the great quarterbacks of all time.

Rogers must have been a big ticket draw.

Aaron will turn 40 during the season, I believe. If I was a Jets fan I'd recommend he retires and give back whatever money he was expected to earn. I feel bad for Aaron, and Jets fans but that was a huge risk to take on a 39-40 year old QB.

And it looks like none other than Carrie Underwood is back for her 11th season performing the Sunday Night Football kickoff song, "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night."

According to reports, Carrie earns $1 million per week (or $18 million per season) for her Sunday Night Football gig, which is truly out of this world.

Maybe running backs should learn how to sing.

No one wants to watch a running back sing.

According to that article, he took a pay cut and smartly considered it was more important for the money go to the cap and better selections for other players. Also, the money wasn’t an issue for the owner, a Big Pharma heir. He could possibly help as an assistant and still be in football for the fun of it. I wonder how much draw the team gets, or got for getting him. Could have been a significant sum in itself. His replacement isn’t that bad.
