Good morning, Steve! How ya feelin' today?

Lions made up for that gaffe by successfully pounding their way to running the clock out, which was impressive given that KC must have been very motivated in from of the home crowd.

Forgot about the game. Caught a 6 minute high light video on my phone a couple minutes ago. Looks like I missed a pretty good game.

Feeling great! I had no expectations for the Lions to win that game. I still think that people here in Michigan are putting the cart before the horse as making the playoffs would be a huge improvement, but this should be a fun season no matter what.

That game could have gone either way. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. But hey, you won that game in KC. I root for underdogs. Hope the Lions do well this season.

Better an actual victory than a moral victory.

It's not like either team played their A game, a sysmptom of starters sitting out the preseason. Goff got bailed out by the defense because he looked like shakey old Goff

^ I think Kansas City's "skill position" players got exposed. They rely so much on Kelce, and when he was taken out, they were left with a bunch of average wide receivers and running backs. Of course Mahomes is great, but the playmakers he had to work with were pretty ordinary.

I like Goff ok as a QB, but overall it was a shakey game by both teams.

I watched Skyy Moore play here in Kalamazoo for WMU and think he will eventually emerge as a key receiver for KC. He is still very young and gaining experience, but I predict he will be a prime target for Mahomes as the season goes on.

There's been a lot of critical talk on the TV and radio about why KC tackle Jawaan Taylor was allowed to line up in the backfield and allowed to kick start prior to the snap on almost every play. Many talking heads stating it was glaringly obvious that it should have been flagged as either a false start or illegal formation.

It was obvious and discussed in casa MudShark that night - it was even mentioned by Chris CryptKeeper a couple of times and was only finally called in Q4 a couple of times.

The NFL instructed the officials to do the same thing in the Ravens/Colts playoff game in January 2007. The Colts tackles lined up in the backfield just about every play and no flags. They wanted to give Manning an edge so he would get a super bowl ring. The Ravens tackle Ogden saw what they were doing and he tried doing it and they flagged him. The Ravens defense still kept them out of the end zone but they still got into position for five field goal and the victory. Manning's first ring is just like Brady's, it was obtained by the NFL cheating.

What's ironic to me, as a Jaguars fan, is that Taylor has been doing this for four years without a peep, I guess because nobody outside Jacksonville pays attention to the Jags. Now, one game into his career with the Super Bowl champs, it's a big scandal.

Browns defense is dominating, with an assist from a wet field.

    DeShaun Watson is not sharp.

I remember Collinworth say he was lined up like a slot receiver.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins tears Achilles, out for season.

    Not again.

I went to a bar in Swansboro NC where apparently has become a Steeler haven. Overall they were friendly even though I said I was there to see the Ravens, and I got a seat at the bar as the only guy watching the one TV with the Ravens game. After the game, in the true spirit of fanmanship, Steeler fan says to me, “Nothing personal but I hope your QB gets his chicken legs snapped off”.😆 I just smiled.
