OK except for the bottom 3 of the AFC, since none of teams will beat the Ravens on average.

And when it does happen, it's not without ref collusion, altered footballs, altered mRNA vaccines or Goodell's personal Lamar voodoo doll.

All I am hoping for is the end of Kirk Covid in Minneapolis.

If that happens, my son and I can start wearing Vikes gear again.

I think the Seahawks win 11 or 12 games and earn one home playoff game and win. I think Detroit wins 10 or 11 games and makes it to the wildcard round, where they lose.

Barring injury, (always need that caveat,) I think you guys are the favorite. Your defense, which was already good, is greatly improved.

They have some real studs, but also weak spots. They could easily stumble, but also could make the playoffs. Could go deep or win it. Herbert has to carry them, and get more help from his receivers and defense than I think he's likely to get.

I think the Rams are one of the bottom 5 teams in the NFL, and most pundits I've seen agree. Or I agree with them, whichever you like. Steelers making the playoffs depends on Pickett's charge. Could happen, but not at all certain. AFC "wild card" (not playoff spot, more the unknown quantity) is the Browns. Could be great. Could be awful. Could be anywhere in between.

I've seen a pundit or 2 who have the Vikings losing in the Super Bowl. Don't know what they're smoking, but...I don't think Cousins is the reason they can't get there. Having said that, he certainly hasn't proved he has the capacity to get it done either.

A tale of two quarterbacks. One sees the field, the other is a spot thrower.

I read somewhere the other day that the only time Burrows beats the Ravens is when Lamar doesn't play.

Lions defense won this game. Some unfortunate drops by KC receivers didn't hurt.

Congrats DET fans. They won despite the gaffe with 2:30 left.

They were far from perfect and I agree the defense kept them in it, but the Lions that I have followed for 62 years would have blown that game.

If toney could catch they would've.

I would argue that the Lions (especially Jones) had several dropped catches during the game that could have also been difference makers.

Yeah, the defense (especially run) will be the biggest determining factor I think. I'm still not sold on the coach either, although overall I do appreciate the aggressiveness.

As for the Rams...idk...I think if they stay healthy they can be competitive at worst. Last year was derailed by injuries more than anything. Kupp's injury is a problem here for the present (but I made those picks before he went to his specialist and I wasn't going to waiver). Also, NFC is pretty weak so if they get to 9-8 I think they'd make it in.

The AFC is much tougher and I could easily swap three of my picks for four others. I just didn't want to go to chalky as there are always surprises.

Being toney's (last) gaffe occurred latest in the game I would say that one trumps the field in terms of errors. But the lions did look pretty good overall. They should definitely win their division.

It was a trap game. That's why I picked the Lions to win.
