He has not developed, but theoretically still has the upside, since he's very young.

The thing that's shocking to me is SF gave up 3 first round picks and a 2nd to move up and select Lance, but let him go for a 4th round pick.

Frustrating watching these preseason games. NFL Network uses local broadcasts from the home team's city. While the rank homerism is annoying, the interviews with GMs and owners is something no one outside of the local market gives 2 shits about. Also, if you're a fan of the visiting team, good luck finding out which players are in the game. They don't even do a run down of the starters.

    Real thing's coming.

No doubt in my 4K TV 65, the Amazon Prime broadcasts on Thursday nights has 4K or better image quality. Very obvious on wide screen views.

It would be far more helpful to lay it out at once. For the guys who are going to be working for UPS in 2 weeks, I don't know who they are by their numbers. Thankfully, because if I did, it would mean my NFL obsession has broken the gravitational pull of Earth. Also, one of the Browns defenders made a nice play, he was number 6, and I'm puzzling "Who tf is number 6?" Turns out it was Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who has worn number 28 in all years with the Browns.

Sounds like a very nice TV though. I'll be upgrading in the next year or so, but can only fit 55" or smaller on the wall above the fireplace where I have it hanging.

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

    NFL rumors:

Stephen A. is reporting that Stefon Diggs wants out of Buffalo.

Another rumor has Jonathan Taylor taking a physical for the Miami Dolphins, preliminary to a trade.

Had our leagues fantasy draft tonight.
It's the leagues 34th year and my 30th. We all go back to HS / early post college.

OG league was a 5 keeper league done on pen / paper + USA Today Monday sports was the official score sheet. Ya had to call in your lineup to the answering machine before 1pm. Drafts were drunken disorganized festivals of trades and joints in someone's apt., usually taking over 3 hours.

Tonight, total remote, no hanging out, no ridiculous trades, less beer (for me) less joints (for me) and all said and done in a tidy 94 minutes.

    Miss the old daze.

Hey everyone, I renewed the NFL pick’em and Survival leagues again for this season. For some incomprehensible reason, they sent invites for the pick’em but not for Survival, so you’ll have to sign up.

First week of Survival is a hard pick. You hate to waste your pick on the Ravens because it is so lopsided voting so far. With all the moves and holdouts and injuries and late additions you really don't know what a team has to offer.

Well, here we are on the eve of the start of the 2023-24 season.

How do you feel about your team's chances this year? (I know Ed already has his spot on the parade route picked out, but I'm asking the rest of you.) In Northeast Ohio, we're optimistic, but apprehensive. I suppose we could say that every year, but this appears to be the best roster in a while. It's going to come down to QB play and injuries.

    What say you?

Seahawks should be better than last year but not good enough to get to the big dance

I haven't given it much thought. As long as Tua is healthy throughout the season (I doubt it), we should be good. The talk of the division is Aaron/Jets of course. They've got them (Jets) winning the division. We'll see......lol.

That's usually just one person on the Ravens the past couple years.

I think a big teller was the decision of the Ravens to go with Huntley who was just injured, and keeping Johnson, but releasing Brown QB (who f@@ked up big time in his last game). Also, they kept ECU’s best running back Keaton Mitchell who played third string in the preseason. The guy is an adaptive Ray Rice. He was on injured reserve after the Ravens decision.

This Eagles fan is feeling pretty good about the upcoming season. Hoping to see Jalen Hurts & Co. build upon what they did last year.

Cautiously optimistic. Jones proved after last season he can lead the team and I love the addition of Waller to open options up for the offense. If NYG stay healthy I think they might surprise. Lookin' forward to it.
