shes a lovely lady is Annie. The issue is any distro or label taking a project that has been kickstarter funded will ususually want a "variation" as some of the fanbase to sell too has already been "done and dusted"

Wow! A 'phone call from Annie, herself. I'm jealous.

I've a question to those who know better: are the 2 new songs on this re-release the same ones that were attached to the "Mystic and the Muse" EP released a few years ago?

Just got my download of the bonus tracks. The Dunford tribute "Renaissamce Man" is nice indeed. The other two tracks are the ones from the Mystic EP.

    Same here.

This made me wonder if the version of "The Mystic and the Muse" on the album is a re-recording, or the same as the 2010 version ? I'm inclined to think it's a new recording, since otherwise Tom Brislin would be the 2nd keyboard player rather than Jason Hart and would have received a credit... So, to those who have both the album and the 2010 EP, any notable differences between the two ?

UK, 2014. 2013 album reissued version, with 3 ending bonus tracks. Very-high-pitched-voiced Annie Haslam herself did the painting artwork cover.
    - spoilers time -
Tom Brislin, Ian Anderson and John Wetton are amongst the featured musicians, and the band has their own orchestra, that can be conducted by the kb player. "But" PA reviewers kept on not being satisfied with this solemn album of theirs, as usual. The first 2-stars-reviews is a two-page review. Lol. Those guys just are bored listening to Renaissance and have to do so because they want to publish another piece of... boring news. This is just another masterpiece album by this famous band, starting out with an epic gem, followed by a beautiful track. #7 Blood Silver Like Moonlight Annie / John Wetton duet is a magnificent moment, but every song is a fav one. More spoilers on PA, sorry about that. You can find some similarities with Genesis or JA's Yes by times. Druid. This is just a pretty 70s-sounding discovering album that won't get old.

I don't think anyone will consider those spoilers, especially when the album is seven or eight years old.

The track "A Symphony of Light" is beautiful live, and is one of my favorite Renaissance songs in concert.
