Why, 2023? Why? Shit.
I'm a huge fan and this is devastating. I saw him about 14 years ago at the National Art Centre in Ottawa. It was a spectacular show. I'll never forget the show. He must have been only in his 70s. Wired, Blow By Blow, Truth - were the tapestry of my youth.

What a great player. One of the few considered impossible to imitate.
He also supported young talent.

Wow. That one is so out of the blue. R.I.P. to a legend.

One of the best guitarplayers ever, RIP.
The sad news popped up on my phone a while ago, so upsetting, I loved his music. Sounds a sudden and shocking way to go too.

It's like a punch in the gut. I just opened up my Instagram feed and there was a post from Jimmy Page mourning the loss. RIP to a truly great and innovative player.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
A true great. So much truly epochal work. The Yardbirds ('I Ain't Done Wrong', 'Shapes Of Things', 'Mister You're A Better Man Than I' etc.), 'Beck's Bolero', the Truth album where Rod Stewart first made an impact, his mid 70s shift to jazz rock, the 90s experiments with electronic music.
I have been appreciating JBs work alot more over the last two years.
RIP Jeff.

I am not familiar with any of his material but I did enjoy his work with Rod Stewart on "People Get Ready" and "Infatuation".
RIPThis is one my favorite modern performances by him:

Just found out. Really sad news. One of the true masters of the instrument. Rest in Peace!
An we have lost another one. 🥲
The word "legend" is tossed around pretty freely these days, but Beck certainly qualified.
R.I.P.

He was great, sad to see him gone. RIP.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

We used to play the heck out of There and Beck, Wired, Live with the Jan Hammer Group, and Blow by Blow back in the 70's. Still love them.
Got to see him a couple of times at Wolf Trap, an amazing guitar player. Nessun Dorma live is spine tingling.

Nostalgia, you know, ain't what it used to be. Furthermore, they tells me, it never was.

This is stunning news. What a shame. Wow, was he good.

Looking forward to my day in court.
This one hurts. I got interested in JB well into his career, but once his guitar clicked for me, I had a great journey listening to his work. RIP sir, you definitely made your own mark.
