I never have problems with this site when I'm using my PC but when I'm using my phone I keep getting 403 errors. What's up with that?

403 is a permissions error, could be a digit or punctuation mark missing in the URL? I don't THINK PE has a separate URL for mobile, does it? Make sure you're aiming at the root, not a sub-heading.
Just checked. Looks like the same URL. And it works for me.
I'm getting a 403 error when trying to post a new thread in the off topic section, and also when just trying to preview the post. Never had that before...? Using a PC.

I'm getting a 403 error now when I try to respond to someone.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
Yeah, something's definitely up with it at the moment, for some of us anyway. I still can't post a new thread. Reading and replying to threads is no problem, and no other issues anywhere else.

The issue comes and goes for me. I'll be on my phone and one minute everything's fine. The next, I'm getting a 403 error... and it usually comes when I'm trying to either preview or post a message.
Something's definitely hinky.

Sorry we jinxed it for you.

I have it now. Can this be fixed Duncan?
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound.
It's spreading like Covid!

I got them when trying to post a long text I cut and pasted from FB, I slimmed it down and eventually managed to post, wasn't sure if a weird character in a band name was causing the issue.

I get 402 when I quote a previous post. Most of the time.

Until today, it worked fine, except for having to click "post" twice in recent days. Now when I try to post to a thread from my PC I get a 403 error and the post never happens. See if this one works...

I'm out-of-country at the moment (New Zealand), and will be unable to address this until I return on Saturday
It appears to be random, and for some users, it appears on some devices but not others. It is not happening for me.
My best short-term suggestion: Flush your cache and clear your progressiveears.org cookies on all devices.
I'll get with our ISP when I return.
To one of the earlier questions: The URLs on phones and PCs are the same.
Thanks to Ian for raising this to my attention.

I just got this error for the first time. Just mentioning it in case the info is useful. Welcome back to the Good Old USA, Duncan!
Primary procreation is accomplished…
For me it is related to what network I'm on. I get connection timed out error, site won't load at all, when connected to my home isp.
But when on t-mobile network no issues. Device doesn't matter. From Laptop and phone the site won't load on home network, switch to phone network it works. Made me wonder if my home ip address got blocked.
Regards,
Duncan
