This. "Island" is a killer groove but most of the rest of the album left me underwhelmed.
You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...

At first I thought the latest album just "okay", maybe even boring. Came back to it recently and I think it's great.

Any word on the final two "singles?"

It grew on me after further listens but I still think the first track is the best, with too many mellow tracks particularly on disc two.

I hear ya...if you're not in the mood for that sort of thing disc two isn't going to do it for you. But I like the mellowness and it's all so well done...there's just enough judiciously used variation to keep it interesting, IMO. I feel like disc two is the more cohesive/contiguous disc. Hard to say which I like more.

Love 'em both, but I think I tend to like the first disc more. Except when I prefer the second disc more.

Sorry if I missed something, but what are you referring to Mike ?
Are the band working on a new album already ?
    Not just a Genesis fanboy.

If I had to guess it would be a reference to "the final two singles". If only their webmaster would update the news section of their site. :P

Yeah, that's what it is. They've got 2 more songs they wrote/recorded during the Echolyn sessions. They have released 4 so far on their bandcamp site.

Someone had asked about the two final songs from the "echolyn" sessions, and I said (damn this new PE with the quoting) that the vocals were done last week. They plan to start writing pretty soon for the "next" album, I believe.
    Best Regards,

    - mike.

The band [mostly] decides what's on the news section - and either they, Chad or I post it.
    Best Regards,
