Thembi, Black Unity, Jewels Of Thought, Tauhid, and Elevation are all ones I'd personally place above Karma (which I do like).
Sun Ra's Featuring PS And Black Harold & Sao Paulo's Underground Spiral Mercury are both excellent albums with his presence as well. (And of course anything he is on with Coltrane)

Black Unity is masterful. But I dig all his records.....I've been listening to Karma since I got a used copy of the LP when I was 16 years old.......saw him in SF with Zakir Hussain in the early 90's and that was cool.....
One of the greats, a unique voice. He played from the heart.
