    RIP John Hartman - Doobie Brothers

    Founding & long time Doobie Brothers drummer passed away this evening at 72.

    RIP. I always liked the funky two-drummer Doobies' lineups. If I'm not mistaken Hartman was the last of their drummers/percussionists from the Doobies' first run still with us.

    Yup, Hossack and Knudsen are also gone.

    He died last year. (Two days before Betty White). Interesting that the trade rags didn’t pick this up sooner.

    Yes, even Neil Peart's death was announced when he died.

    I only saw the Doobies once and that was at a free concert in my general area. There must have been at least 200,000 people there. Great show though. Anyway, RIP.
